Presidio County Warrant RecordsPresidio County Warrant Records

For a Presidio County municipal warrant, call the city court that handled the citation. Marfa and Presidio Municipal Courts each issue and keep their own ordinance, traffic, and failure-to-appear records. The county sheriff posts no public countywide warrant search, and a JP citation tool does not cover a city case. So the municipal clerk is the person to ask. Find out whether a warrant or capias was issued, then confirm any payment or appearance plan with that same court. Bring the ticket or notice if you have it. The sheriff can answer questions about service. The city court alone controls recall and the case docket. Start with the city.

Presidio County Municipal Court Warrants

A municipal warrant belongs to the city court that issued it. In Presidio County, that means Marfa and Presidio, which handle city ordinances and fine-only state matters inside their own limits. Miss a date or leave a judgment unpaid, and the court may start failure-to-appear process or issue a capias pro fine. Each judge and clerk manages that court's own case record, so no one city speaks for the other. City warrants may not appear on the county sheriff's arrest pages either, and no single municipal-court search covers the whole county. Start with the city named on the citation, then ask the clerk directly whether the warrant is active and what the court needs from you.

Presidio County Municipal Warrants in Both Cities

Marfa and Presidio, Presidio County's two municipal courts, run separate pages with their own contacts and payment methods. Marfa posts a link to an active-warrant list. Presidio links to a citation-payment portal. Neither page can answer for the other city, for JP1, JP2, or the district court. Use the court named on your citation.

Presidio County Municipal Warrant Courts by City

Presidio County's incorporated cities with municipal-court and police sources are Presidio and Marfa. Outside city limits, a ticket may belong to JP1 or JP2 instead. The court named on the citation is the better guide. Trust it over the mailing address or the county name printed on the form.

Marfa's Presidio County Municipal Warrant List

The Marfa Municipal Court page says a full list of active warrants is linked there. It shows no search fields, no update date, and no completeness rule beyond that description. The page also keeps a 2024 warrant-roundup notice whose January 18, 2024 deadline has passed. That is not a current amnesty notice. Use the official Marfa page to reach its list, and call the clerk before relying on a static entry. The court's citation rules let an adult appear in person, by phone, or by mail by the appearance date. Fax and email do not count. The court can tell you whether your warrant needs an appearance, a payment, or a reset.

Checking a Presidio County Municipal Warrant

Check with the issuing city's clerk first, not a Presidio County portal. Marfa's active-list link is one public route, but the clerk still confirms current status best. Presidio's payment portal wants ticket details and warns it covers only City of Presidio citations.

  1. Read the ticket or notice for the city court's name.
  2. Call the clerk with the citation or cause number and ask whether a warrant or capias exists.
  3. Use an online city tool only for the case type it names.
  4. If no public entry answers the question, request the record from that court under the Texas Public Information Act.

A city payment screen may show an amount due. It does not say the Presidio County warrant was recalled or the docket closed.

Presidio County Municipal Warrant Portal Limits

The Presidio Municipal Court page links TrafficPayment, with a warning that the portal serves the City of Presidio and not Presidio County tickets. The form asks for ticket number, first and last name, driver's-license number and state, payment amount, a text or email passcode, and a captcha. There is no warrant-status field and no public active list. The city's January 2026 court report describes coordination with police on warrants and complaints, show-cause letters for outstanding citations, weekly DPS reports, and community-service placements. It also reports open court Mondays and Thursdays and 84 walk-ins. Those figures show court activity, not a warrant count or a lookup system. Call the municipal court before paying if the ticket may have become a warrant or the amount is unclear. The portal's payment field is not the recall decision.

Inside a Presidio County Municipal Warrant

Presidio County publishes no sample municipal warrant or city-court status code. Ask the clerk to confirm which case the record belongs to, what the court calls the process, and whether it remains open. A citation number and a warrant number may differ. Do not infer a format from a payment screen.

Presidio County Municipal Court Warrants and Mondays

The January 2026 Presidio court report says open court is held Mondays and Thursdays. The published Municipal Court page lists weekday office hours with a noon-to-one break. These are court and office details, not a promised warrant walk-in or surrender window. Call before going, and ask whether the judge needs to hear the case. The same report discusses show-cause letters and work with city police on warrants in Presidio County, but it publishes no warrant roster, round-up date, or standard bond instructions. Ask the clerk what response a letter requires. The court may offer a new date, an ability-to-pay review, a payment plan, or community service.

Resolving a Presidio County Municipal Warrant

The city court sets the steps for its own Presidio County case. Before paying online or going to the counter, ask whether the court requires an appearance, reset, bond, or a motion to recall. A payment receipt is not a court order terminating a warrant.

  1. Confirm the issuing city court and process type.
  2. Ask what amount, date, or appearance the judge requires.
  3. Use only the court's published payment route, or request an ability-to-pay option.
  4. After action, ask the clerk to confirm recall and docket updates.

Warning: A city ticket portal cannot clear a JP or other city's case; verify court ownership and warrant status before paying.

Presidio County Municipal Warrant Service Routes

Presidio County keeps municipal warrant service simple on paper. Texas Chapter 45A lets a city peace officer or a marshal serve municipal process, and the Sheriff's Office says it assists city agencies when asked. No public roster names the officer who serves each Marfa or Presidio warrant. So ask the city court directly whether the paperwork went to city police, the sheriff, or someone else. In a municipal case, the judge and the clerk hold the docket and the power to recall a warrant. Sheriff dispatch can answer a booking or service question. It cannot confirm a warrant's status for you. Presidio County also has no unified municipal warrant search, so the court remains the place to verify anything. A sealed or juvenile record, or one withheld under another law, may stay out of ordinary public view anyway.
